It works lol

Well as you can see the posts are appearing on the site again. I had to upload everything to get it running properly again. Just a shame that the school closes in a few minutes so i dont really have alot of time to write now. Ill try to get a little free time to do so on monday maybe.

So have a good weekend and dont do anything that i wouldnt.. hmm or maybe you should? ;-)

For some reason i cant get the new posts to appear on the website. It says they are there but the site isnt showing them even if i refresh :-( Must be something wrong with the posting thingy... i will try again later on i think and go and do something else lol

Sat here waiting lol

What i am waiting for? for students to arrive so that we can watch a film later on this evening :-) We are going to watch The One with Jet Li.. ive seen it already but its a good film and teenagers love action films so the time will pass quickly. Im trying to think of something to do over the weekend as Eliane isnt here cause shes gone on vacation, maybe ill go and see the new Terminator 3 film at the cinema :-).

While i have some free time this afternoon and evening before they all arrive here at the school i will get some of the stuff i want to use in class this semester typed up and printed off.. Stuff like Past Perfect and Pronouns etc. Sounds thrilling doesnt it? lol. Ive got plenty of time though so i should get quite a lot done before we watch that film. Mostly its for the intermediate as advanced groups have already passed this section of grammar and for them i just do reviews very quickly. I ran a couple off earlier just to see what they would look like printed up and they looked just fine.. just have to hope my OM students appreciate my hard work / typing right? lol.

Anyway i had better get back to it or ill not get as much done as i would like :-)

I need a vacation

Im having a break here from backing up my files onto floppy diskettes, they all need to be backed up as i am in the middle of house hunting and want them to take with me as they are all stuff i use for my classes or conversation classes. Im hoping to get to rent something in Sobradinho as it will still be close to both of the schools that I work in and also nearer to downtown too so it will be easier to go places with Eliane. To rent apartments here in Planaltina is really expensive too, why this is I don’t know but I rang a couple of places and it was just as much to rent downtown. In the other sat city they have some little places like kitchenettes that go for reasonable prices so ill aim to rent one of those places. I wont really need all that big a place so one of these will be ideal. Also I think I will be safer there in the other city as I am surprised that I am still alive after living in Planaltina for nearly 2yrs. Think im joking? Lol. Trust me this place is violent.. very violent. Perhaps they have finally realized that I don’t have loads of money lol.

I still have to find out what is going to happen about the conversation classes as the students have already been asking me about them and its just the first week lol. Im glad though they have interest as I like to give these classes and also the MEC group have asked if I can come up with stuff they can do at one of their houses so ill dig out all I have and they can look and choose some of this stuff. I have still to try to find stuff for the beginner groups and also to find out what will happen with the other school as well.. And with seven groups on top of that lol, I like this though as I hate to have nothing to do lol. I will try to get my groups to be advanced a little in their schedules so that maybe I can fit in some extra activities too, like getting some pizza ;-).. hey it wont be the first time this has been done lol. Sometimes its nice to do something a little different just to make a change for the students and it breaks things up a little from the normal routine for me as well ;-).

I want to come up with some sort of website that the MEC and advanced groups can use, im not exactly sure what we will use it for yet but now all the students have access to the internet at the schools it would be shame not to try to make some use of it for their English classes etc. If I get time at work today I will search around and see what places we can host something like this, I think a community or something similar but where the students don’t have to mess around registering with sites etc or having to login all of the time. I think that counts out both yahoo and Msn communities as I think they require some sort of registration. Ill see later on.

Okay time for me to get my arse moving and get some stuff prepared before I go to work :-)

Okay im here lol

God this keyboard is nearly as bad as the one over at the other school lol. Sorry i havent posted here for a little while, i was busy with preparing stuff for the new classes and also i spent the weekend with Eliane going to the movies and then for lunch and visiting this temple place near to her house. We saw the film Bringing the house down with Steve martin... Its well good :-).. We thought it was really funny and as good as Bruce Almighty :-). On sunday we had lunch together, Eliane cooked it and it was really delicious :-).. The visit to the temple was nice and although it doesnt look big from the outside in side its another matter and we spent i guess nearly two hours looking at all the things on display. I will see if there is a site for this place and post the address here okay? :-)

Im at the school at the moment, getting ready to teach my new groups,well there not new to me as i know all of the students they have just moved up in levels and i didnt get any beginners or childrens groups :-(. Still at least i know that i will have an easy time as they are all at levels i have taught before, apart from the MEC group that is at level three as this will be the first time i have taught this book.. they are all similar though in the style of teaching ;-) Of course i have made plenty of coffee too for the first lessons of the day :-)

Hey there Rosana lol, are you still here reading this? :-) Im pleased that some of you guys are still reading this as itll give you some practice with your reading right? :-)

I guess i had better go and get my stuff ready and i also have to check in the newspaper too and see if there are any houses for rent in them.. More on this next post though as i am out of time here ;-). Until next time.... Hahaha :-)
