Well home from work and resting a little cause im knackered!! A good thing though is that on the way home i called in at the video store and they had a copy in english of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon so guess what ill be watching later on lol. It looks well good on the adverts but here to get a copy in english is very difficult and finally today managed to get a hold of it.

also heard from a friend about going to see a movie tomorrow but may not yet see X-men 2 as there is another joining us who will probably go with us. Hey so long as the films good and in english thats all that matters right? :-) We are going to check later this evening to see whats on over at pier 21 as its my fav mall :-)

I gotta find some games and stuff to play with the students too in the conversation classes. I have no idea yet what i will do lol. Will have to put on my thinking cap i think over the next few days but have also asked the students to think of some stuff too. We will see what happens i guess right? :-) One thing they love is movies in english but i think i will split it so one week we do video and another something else rating games etc. Ive got a few books here to have a look through this weekend and see if i can adapt anything from them or get any suggestions.

Well im all switched over to the new Dano stuff now and both by weblogs seem to work okay :-). I think now after using it that it looks just fine and cant wait to update IE so i can use the other version of blogger to see what new things have been added to it there as well. Someone was telling me again about live journal the other day but i had a look at it and alot of my friends also complained about this because of something with a number etc. For me sounds too much like hard work and i like using blogger as its nice simple and easy to setup and use even if you are ftp to another place :-). Im curious about the email thing in the settings though so will look into it later in the weekend to see what that is all about just cause im nosey lol.

Anyway off to get a few emails written or i will leave no time to watch my film :-)

Hmmmm nice... We can now migrate out weblogs to the new Dano version and after just trying it i think its all working just fine. Of course i have to publish yet and see if it works so just give me a sec to make sure that Tripod are in sync with my blogger stuff okay? :-)

Woooooohoooooooo it is all working just fine :-). WTG Blogger!!!!! I am really beginning to like this new version of the software now. I didnt realise that i had to use IE6 though to get a different version of the blogger software but no problem the LoFi version is nice and fast and works well. I havent found any problems with it yet even though it is still in the beta test version stage. Later though i will get updated IE to see how it looks i think

**Listening to Guns and roses live**

Thanks to Rosana who lent me one of her cds to listen too :-) i had never heard the live cd before and it is very good :-). any way i need to get something done here now as i have hardly done anything yet this morning lol... Bye!!!

I have hardly had time all week to get online and even the internet at work was out of action. Mind you with no restrictions on the stuff they can access the pcs there have access to prn and everything so they are probably swamped with god knows what sort of stuff lol

I watched a film with a few of my students yesterday and not even half of the ones that said they were going to come actually arrived. Its a little sad though as if they dont come then the school will simply not offer this conversation service anymore :-( Why they ask for it and then dont come i do not know but then i got a lecture from the secretaries about over running my time slot by five minutes, can you believe that? lol. Yeah hard to believe im a bad boy right? lol. I dont really understand why the moaning though,,, so what i used up five extra minutes... Who gives a shit???? i wasnt even being paid for it anyway as i only get paid for one hour of conversation class per group and any time i use over that i do for free. I wonder if the secretaries realise just how much time the teachers are giving to the students? I find it very sad :-( and i wonder how much ear ache i will get this afternoon when i get to work for groups later on??

On a brighter note i am going to see X-men 2 tomorrow, i cant wait as it looks unreal in the internet sites i looked at earlier in the week. Theres a few good films this year i wanna see, i am trying to find some nice young lady (or at least someone my age lol) who likes cinema to go with me but more than likely i will go with friends instead :-). Also the new Matrix films to look forward too later in november right? excellent i will definately be there to see that as well :-) I watched Triple X on dvd the other day with cinema sound at a friends house which was really great, i like home cinema but to see a film nothing can come close to seeing it on the big screen so long as the sound quality is good too :-). I have to get myself a dvd player i think as videos here are usually dubbed badly in portugues but all dvds have english encloded onto them as standard :-)

Okay time for me to go and get something done here as i have to prepare for classes this afternoon and also for my group that are going to see all their midterm exams this afternoon, nice thing is they all passed with good grades :-). Im outta here...... See Ya!!

Like an ability or a muscle, hearing your inner wisdom is strengthened by doing it.

This afternoon i wasted listening to Cds and getting some stuff ready for conversation clases later this evening. I think though that i will just give these classes at the other school as the Planaltina school seems to like the conversation classes more this semester. Its video class this time and they are going to watch an english film, well thats if i can get the students to stay and watch it lol.

I have a cold at the mo, well it maybe the flu im not really sure. One of the students came to school laid up to her eyeballs and now it looks as though i caught whatever this is. Let me tell you i feel like shit lol. The chemist yesterday wanted to charge me R$14 just for some tylenol because he thought i was loaded until i told him to get the generic stuff out instead lol. All the people here think english people are loaded with money. In the uk they give tylenol dead cheap but here i think they add on about 40% profit for themselves lol

I will have to see how many students i have coming to class on friday, some of them have invited their friends too which is nice. These guys wont speak english but the film has legends so they will still be able to watch with the regulars. Hey who knows maybe they will become CCAA students one day :-). I wonder if i would get a recruitment fee? lol

anyway i am going to rest for a bit before getting ready to go to Sobradinho or i will feel lousy all afternoon. I have been awake since 4am so you can imagine what i am going to feel like by 8pm tonite right? :-)

The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool

I think i have caught a cold, my head and throat feel terrible lol. Ill go over to the chemist later on and get something for it. the nice thing is that alot of meds you can just get over the counter here :-). Hopefully i will feel better for my groups later on tonite or itll be a nightmare :-)

Yesterday was a good day for me, i met three young ladies on the bus home who were very interesting, one of them even had tatoos too and seemed very interested in me. The sad thing is that this place is quite big so the chances of bumping into her again will be very remote, although i know which estancia she lives in :-) The other two said they wanted english lessons and they would give me some portugues ones in exchange so i might take them up on that because it would help my portugues alot :-) we will have to see what happens there i guess :-)

Also been planning some stuff for conversation classes, unfortunately though it looks as though there will be classes at just one school as the other has given up on the idea. Never mind i will have to concentrate on the other school and see how many people i can get interested there. If i feel better in a while i may go and visit the groups there this afternoon and see how many of them would be interested.

anyway i am off to find the chemists and get something for this cold beofre my headache gets any worse lol
