Divina..

Been a while since I blogged, I have very little time at the moment but never mind, I'll try to get back here more often.

Here this last week in Brasil was the Divina ceremony, a sort of Catholic ceremony not even related to anything in the bible. Just an excuse for rich people connected to the church to raise even more money to fill the coffers of rich churchmen who dont give this money to the poor people. We are talking a one-week nightmare here, fucking idiots driving around the streets at 4.30am playing religious music as loud as possible with no respect for people of other religions or people such as my young neighbor who has a little baby which they woke up every morning with their fucking noise. These people like to pretend they are religious but in reality they dont give a shit about anything religious. The other Saturday was the final day of this ceremony and there must have been a couple hundred of them marching around the streets (I think some of them were either high or drunk from what I saw of them) and prancing around like arseholes. After they had been outside the school for around 30mins making as much noise as possible they moved on to disturb another street and you wouldnt believe the amount of mess and trash they left behind. It was inches deep in the gutters, they just left it there hoping that someone would clean up their mess or that the wind would just blow it away, it was the same all over the city on Saturday. For people who say they worship God and value his teachings, they dont value his creation (Earth for you donkey religious people) and would rather trash and destroy it instead of pickinh up the trash and dropping it in one of the many garbage cans available in Formosa. It has to be said, these people make me fucking sick!!! Spouting their religious crap, you know what I mean, do what I say and not what I do. They should take them out into the streets and flog them till they drop on their knees! how can these people justify what they do? Well we all know why, this is Brasil and you can pretend you are religious here and no one gives a shit about anything or anyone. Sad init? I'd like to see a total ban on religious things in the city and the use of the money for this diverted towards something useful like providing better education in the public schools or hospital beds for the many poor people who dont have enough money to go to the private hospitals for treatment. But where do you think this money from the ceremonies goes? Yeah, you got it, straight into some greedy padre's pocket to pay for his next Armani suit or flash sports car. I wonder if they could get away with this in a Muslim country where the laws and words or God seem to be very respected? Somehow I dont think so, they would be out in the streets and stoned to death or some other fitting and just punishment. For another year this ceremony is over but another one is yet to start. The espirito santo, another catho ceremony to raise yet more money for the church, but based on an old pagan fertility ritual. I can just picture some pervy old priests proclaiming the word of god at this ceremony but later when no one sees taking a few innocent street kids to his bedroom to abuse them at his leasure. Last year they had transvestites in the ceremony but it has been prohibited here in the city by old people who believe that, wait for it.... that it encouraged young people to become involved in homosexual activities. Can you believe this crap? involved in? Don't these people here realise yet that people are born gay or lesbian and that they arent influenced to become this? Sometimes I think that my g/f and I are the only sane people here, can it get worse I ask you.. Of course it fucking can..
