Well i have just about finished checking through a pile of exercises here, luckily they were easy ones, mostly advanced or high level so it didnt take too long. Nice thing is I get paid to correct them hehehe!
I was sort of hoping that my brother would send me some photos of my neice over the weekend but i checked my mailbox and theres nothing there. I dont really know my brothers g/f, they got together after i left the UK. I know they were planning on moving to Spain before they found out they were going to have a baby. He'd better hurry up with the pics, Roberta and I are curious to see photos of the latest addition to the family.
I started on a basic website for activities and games etc that can be used in the CCAA classes, i tried to make it just easy to setup with no alterations to the template so that if we wanted to change it we could do so without having to copy all the stuff from one to another. I'll see if other teachers wanna add to it or just give me ideas to put there. I know we have this books called Happy Professor but to be honest its a little sad hahaha! Most things we already know or do variations of in the classes now. Most of the stuff i post tends to be for advanced groups as i teach those levels alot but with the youngsters it gives me more chance to experiment and kids are always great for seeing if a new activity is good or not. If they arent smiling then its a sure fire failure hahaha! I remember watching a video of my ex wifes lesson once and thinking how drab and boring it was and constantly this image is always in my mind when i am teaching so that im thinking to myself ´How can this be better?´ Mind you it was some crappy video for her school to pass around to some bi national centers but even so if i thought it was crap being a native speaker i wonder what the other centers thought of it? Still its good motivation i guess for people to make their lessons better than that video so it was good for something, right? Yeah or maybe not hehehe!!
Going to see what the coffee machine has for me..
