Password..

I just found that they have deleted all the programs from the computer here and with Win2000 admin all over it we cant install office, word or anything else. Its getting worse and worse here, luckily though help is at hand this time as one of the secretaries came up with a way to get around win2000 password and i'll ask about this later on and see if i can get them to come here and do something about this. Oh, there is also this SITE that recommends a program too. Its pathetic when we cant even have word on the computer. The thing that pisses me off is that yesterday the computer was working just fine and now nothing works as everything has been uninstalled, what is Francisco thinking of here i wonder? When are we going to get some decent tech support for the computers? I dont have this problem in Goias where we have a techy guy there all day long whose job is to monitor everything and fix problems straight away without leaving the computer dead for a week. Good job i dont leave my files on just this computer, having a Gmail account leaves me with loads of room to store my files in 1gig of email space where they are safe from both clumsy students accidentally deleting things as well as admin screwups.

Well I have tuesday as a holiday, i'll go to the farm with Roberta i think to get away from the city for the day. I think that maybe we can go to a place just down the road from the farm that sells ice creams and all other sorts of stuff, well thats if its open of course. Ive never heard of Evangelical Day before, i wonder what they do on this day? Probably go and destroy a few more religious symbols in some churches i guess. Not that i really care, they can all blow themselves up for me, which they will prabably all do anyway and then the atheists will rule the earth hahaha!!

We have Garfield to watch later tonite, should be good for a laugh. I was told that its comical to see. I like the cartoon on the TV so i hope that the dvd is at least as good or better. Roberta chose it while i was giving conversation class, I'll get to chose tomorrow lol.

With no messenger installed its a pain in the arse but luckily there is an online solution to the problem. Clicking HERE takes you to E-Messenger, an online msn messenger program. Its nifty and works well.

I just found out that my blogger is changing language automatically to portugues instead of just using the international language of the world.. English hehehe!! A quick play in the options though should sort that problem out. It really bugs me that we run an english school and that everything on the computers is in portugues. How can the students have continuity in everything they do at the school when they have to keep switching between languages?

Well it looks as though Robertas class has ended so we can finally go and relax and watch Garfield. Enjoy yourselves okay??

Training..

Well just got the letter about the teachers training in Jan next year. I hope they arent going to have that fat prick ricardo giving the training as last time he gacve it all of the teachers from Planaltina left after just one morning. We are talking here about one sorry sack of shite who has nio idea what hes talking about. He just likes to tell everyone hes better than anyone else and has no real idea of what hes doing, plus hes a closet faggot who tries to convince all of us hes not by hitting on as many girls as he can. but also last time he taught new teachers they suused him out and were questioning his sexual identity. Man i wish i had seen that lol. I'm guessing they will probably use one of the coordinators though, hopefully someone who understands the need for the students to have a bit of fun now and again and shows some games or activities we can use with the students with the methodology otherwise its going to be a little empty in the training again.

I watched Fahrenheit 9/11 with my MEC4 group the other day, I waited for it to be on dvd so that we could use it in the classroom. The website for the film is excellent and has mant activities to do with students. I am going to adapt a few of them to use with my class, i think i could maybe generate some stuff for my conversation group too. I love to use controversial stuff with my advanced groups, its a great way to get them talking. Passion Of Christ was also a good film for this, especially with my being athiest hehehe!! But its always good with advanced groups as they have vocabulary to be able to easily express their thoughts and feelings about a subject whereas beginners can get frustrated becasuse they dont have the words to say how they feel. A lot of my students wanna watch Kill Bill 2, if i can get time i will squeeze it in one friday in extra activities just to see what they think of the second part. I thought they could have created an end with a huge swordfight etc so was a little disappointed when they had a fairly tame end. Was funny though seeing that womans eye get plucked out hahaha!!
